HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS SLATED DEC 4 IN CHESTER

Chester’s Hometown Christmas will return on December 4 after a hiatus due to the COVID pandemic. The theme for this year’s celebration will once again be based on the Grinch movie with the theme being….”Christmas perhaps…..Means a Little Bit More in Chester. The parade will begin promptly at 3 p.m. with registration starting at First Street and Carolina Avenue.

The celebration will feature an open air vendor market along Fourth Street and Carolina Avenue. A Window Decorating Contest will be held and all windows must be ready for judging by December 1 and will voted on via the Hometown Christmas Facebook Page.

Childrens events and visits with Santa will take place from 10 a.m. til noon at the Badgley Pavillion in Chester City Park. Bingo in the basement of the VFW will follow at noon. The annual Chinese Auction will benefit FISH and will be held at the Chester Volunteer Fire Department. Winners will be drawn prior to the parade.
