Two Hancock County soccer teams were recognized by the Hancock County Board of Education at Monday’s meeting. Board President Danny Kaser congratulated t the 2021 Oak Glen High’s Girls’ Soccer Team for being 2021 OVAC Champs and Weir High’s Boys’ Soccer Team for being 2021 OVAC Champs. Kaser presented certificates to each of the team members present at the meeting.
Superintendent Dawn Petrovich reported that that the 2020 Financial Audit Report had been received and there were no findings. Copies of the Board Financials can be accessed on both the Hancock County Board website and the State Board of Education website.
The following Budget Supplements were approved: Fund 11 – $10,000.00, Fund 61 – $567,986.84, Fund 71 – $265,156.00 with $163,994.80 being approved as a budget transfer from Fund 61.
In other business, the Board:
**Approved the Professional Supplement Salary Schedule;
**Approved an unpaid leave of absence for Roseanna Finney;
**Assigned Amber Ramsey as School Nurse for Weir High;
**Accepted the resignation of coaches Jessica Naughton – Assistant Volleyball, Weir Middle; Ethan Delekta – Assistant Football, Oak Glen High; and Edson Arneault – Head Football, Oak Glen High;
**Transferred James M. Orr from Custodian II, Allison Elementary to Custodian II, Oak Glen High/Oak Glen Middle;
**Approved Substitute Custodians Ronald Richmond, Jr., Paul Griffenberg and David Alton;
**Approved Substitute Cook Laura Palmer
