Hansell Stanley Miller, 88, of New Cumberland, passed, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Brightwood Rehabilitation Center in Follansbee following a brief illness.
Born, December 9, 1933, in Reader, WV., he was the of the late George and Lula Keck Miller.
Stanley was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Miller, his grandson, Josh Ledsome; stepson, John Williams, brothers, Gene, Russell, Ramsell, Doyle, Richard, and Dormond Miller, and Sisters, Audra Swearingen, Aunda Lancaster, and Iva Wayts.
He retired from the former Weirton Steel Corporation, where he worked 31 years as an electrician. Stanley was a member of the Weirton Steel 25-year club.
He enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, baking, hunting, and cooking for his family.
Stanley will be deeply missed by his sons, David (Erica) Miller of New Cumberland, Donald (Cathy) Miller of El Cajon, GA. and Timothy Miller of Tijeras, NM.; daughter, Sherry Ortiz of Virginia Beach and Kathy (Scott) Mahone of Norfolk, VA.; stepchildren Shirley Adams of Ellijay, GA. and Betty (Jim) McCall of Chester.; sister, Joann Miller of Parkersburg, WV. and special friend, Linda Yeater; He will also be missed by his 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Stanley’s life was celebrated Monday, January 3, 2022, at Arner Funeral Chapel, at 11:00AM. Private burial was held at Churchill Gardens Cemetery. .
