Ernesto Chavez, 68, of Chester, passed at his home, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born, March 17, 1953, in San Antonio, TX., he was the son of the late Cresenciano and Ernestina Cruze Chavez. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Ernesto was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He worked for many years at Mazda Corporation in Michigan.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Carol Carson Chavez; daughters, Dawn McElfresh and her husband, Michael of Chester, Nicole Murphy of Wellsville, and Abagail Chavez (Damion Kernen) of Follansbee; grandchildren, Elizabeth Thomas (Cody Heath) Brianna Donahee, Autumn Donahee and great-grandchildren, Hunter Kernen and Roman Kernen.
Per Ernesto’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. He is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
