The community of New Cumberland is honoring those who served their Country through its military banners program. Eighty-two banners, purchased by the servicemen’s families, were quietly hung by volunteers over the past few days. The project has been orchestrated and painstakingly brought to fruition by George and Milli Hines, Chick Skinner and Tammy Jenkins Volunteers who aided in the hanging of the banners included Ed Fields, Howard Vulgamore, Don Blankenship ,Penny Sprouse, Bo Cline, Bob Swearingen, Tim Staley, Jay Keeder, Tammy Jenkins and the VFW Auxiliary.
