Remembering and honoring veterans who sacrificed their lives for their hometown will be the focus of a variety of activities in New Cumberland. The schedule for the days’ activities is as follows:

9:00 – 9:30 a.m. – Registration for the Memorial Day Mile walk/run at Adams Street. Registration is $20

10:00 a.m. – Walk/run begins

11:00 a.m. – Services at New Cumberland Cemetery where weather permitting the Avenue of Flags will be on display. VFW Adam Poe Post Commander William Buchanan will serve as speaker.

1:00 – 1:30 p.m. – Line-up at Fuccy’s lot for parade

2:00 p.m. – Memorial Day parade

Immediately following parade the VFW will have food and a band in its parking lot

Beginning at 3 p.m. the New Cumberland Park Board will have a scavenger hunt followed by a movie in the Park pavillion
