FIDELIS GAMMA CHAPTER ENJOYS GUESTS
The Fidelis Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Women Educator Organization met at Garden Grill Steakhouse in Weirton, WV, on June 2, 2022. There were 16 members and guests in attendance.
President Diane Higgins called the meeting to order and welcomed guests Crystal Baranowski, Carol Austin, and Deborah Wagner. Grace Clifton and her mother, Deanna Clifton, from Brooke county were special guests, as Grace was the recipient of the Betty M. Shaw / EvaBelle Catlett Memorial Scholarship given by Fidelis Gamma Chapter.
Sandi Anderson read the minutes, and Carolyn Allison reported on the financial status. Higgins asked members to record their contributions in the name of Alpha Delta Kappa. Jerry DeFilippo volunteered to chair Fraternity Education, and Ruth Fuller will serve as Publicity Chairman.
Sunshine Bags will be delivered to Alpha Delta Kappa members with our best wishes.
President Higgins suggested that members select an hour on June 21st to honor “The Longest Day” – recognizing the Alzheimer’s Project. Members were encouraged to send messages, write notes / cards, and phone a friend during this time to share special thoughts.
Thoughts and concerns of members were shared.
Dates to remember: July 28-31 is Southeast Regional Conference in Wilmington, North Carolina , and August 13 is the Leadership Conference in Fairmont, WV.
The hostess for the meeting was Twinkle Smith. August hostesses will be Donna Durkin and Liz Pugh.
The meeting was adjourned with the singing of “The Lamp of Alpha Delta Kappa.”
