WW II VETERAN COMES HOME

The community honored 1st Lt Horrigan as his remains are be brought to his final resting place, along side his wife, 77 years later. Horrigan was shot down over enemy territory. Following the war the territory fell under Communist control making it difficult to locate and return those veterans who had made the ultimate sacrifice. Horrigan was escorted from Pittsburgh International Airport by a variety of military, veteran and law enforcement representatives on Friday June 24. On Sunday, June 26 a procession through the lined streets of Chester took him to Locust Hill Cemetery.
