YOUNG RECEIVES LIONS LEONARD JARRETT AWARD

The July 26 meeting was brought to order by President Dorothy Hawkes.  Lion Jeanne Cox gave the invocation and President Dorothy Hawkes led the Pledge of Allegiance.  The President announced there would be no business as this is the annual summer picnic.  President Hawkes thanked Lion Joyce Young and Lion Sally Greathouse, both recent recipients of the Leonard Jarrett Award, for setting up the picnic that was held at the Christian Church in New Cumberland.  President Hawkes announced that the club will resume the regular meeting schedule in September, which is a regular meeting every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from September through May (except for December which is the 2nd Tuesday only) at 6:30 p.m. in the community room of the New Cumberland City Building and a Board meeting every 3rd Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the New Cumberland City Building.  Committees are being formed.  The next meeting will be the annual steak fry on August 23rd.  More details will be available as the date nears.  With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
