Denzel “Buck” Owen, 78, of New Cumberland, WV passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Wyngate in Weirton, WV.

    He was born December 19, 1943 in Doddridge County, WV a son of the late Cecil & Hazel (Greathouse) Owens.

    Denzel is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 31 years Susan Owens; and 2 brothers Clayton Donald Owens & Kenneth Owens.

    He was retired from Weirton Steel Corp Blooming Mill with 31 years of service; was a member of the Knights Templar, an avid golfer and loved gardening and sharing with his neighbors, and attended House of Prayer in Calcutta, OH.

    Denzel is survived by his loving daughters LaRena (David) Reed of East Liverpool, OH and LaVerne Owens of New Manchester, WV; 7 Grandchildren and 13 Great grandchildren.

    Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Turley Funeral Home.

    Services will be there Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm withPastor Kim Gadd officiating. Interment will follow in New Cumberland Cemetery.
