The Swaney Library in New Cumberland will once again be holding a Christmas tree display during the month of December. All local churches and organizations are invited to decorate a tree in the library for the holiday season. The public will vote on which tree is the “best-dressed,” and the winning group will divide the proceeds of the ticket sales. Each vote is $1 or six votes for $5. The trees should be up and decorated by Thursday, December 1st and taken down no later than Friday, January 6, 2023. Groups can decorate their tree however they choose and then tell everyone they know to stop in and buy a vote. The tree display has been a fun holiday tradition for the last several years, and we hope your group will join in the festivities this year. Even if you don’t decide to decorate a tree, please stop by the library during December to enjoy the display. For more information, call the library at 304-564-3471.
