THE ORCHARDS IS COLORING THEIR CORNER OF THE WORLD

It has been said that art allows us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.  Recently, residents and staff at The Orchards at Foxcrest joined together to create beautiful works of art while bringing peace to their souls.

At the suggestion of The Orchards’ Marketing Director Tawny Broadbent, staff members set out to order an assortment of five 48 x 63-inch coloring posters – one for each of the facilities owned and maintained by the Fox family of Chester.  The posters were produced by the Debbie Lynn Company and were put to good use the minute they arrived.  Each poster was placed on a sheet of thin plywood and positioned in an accessible area in each building, along with plenty of colorful markers.  From kitchen staff and housekeeping to the maintenance department, nurses and care aides, administrators and residents, all came together to create their own unique masterpieces, setting out to prove that coloring isn’t just for kids.

In this post-Covid world, the Fox family is continuously looking for creative ways to lift spirits and brighten the workplace environment in their facilities which also serve as “home” to nearly 200 residents across the five buildings.   Now in their 70th year of operation, the Foxes continue to care for the minds, bodies and souls of those who have placed their trust in them.  For additional information about the coloring posters or about the wide array of services offered by The Orchards, please contact 304-459-3903.
