The regular meeting of the Hancock County Museum Commission held their December meeting recently at the museum.
Report was heard that new electrical panels were installed as well as the outdoor connections updated and sealed.
Marcus Trelaine submitted a bid for replacement of all windows at the museum. The offer was $3550 per window and extra charges for equipment, fuel, dumpster rental, and required building permit. We will be seeking grants to help fund this project.
A gift of postcards from the early 1900’s featuring Rock Springs Park and Homer Laughlin Pottery was received from Mr. Alvin Schaut of Plainsfield, WI.
The season activities ended with a lovely Open House Christmas Party on December 11th featuring our Victorian Carolers, Bill Simon playing the delcimer, and Tom Zielinsky sharing his talent on the accordian. John Brenneman closed the program with the reading of everbody’s favorite Christmas poem, The Night Before Christmas. Guests were treated to tours of the beautifully decorated facility and then enjoyed tasty refreshments.
