FURR-EVER VALENTINE EVENT PLANNED

A “Furr-ever Valentine” Craft and Vendor Show is scheduled for Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the municipal building in Chester, located at 600 Indiana Avenue.  The event will be held from 10-2 and will feature lots of interactive opportunities for the whole family.  All donations and proceeds will be donated to the Hancock County Animal shelter as part of Eagle Scout candidate Wesley Wedgewood’s Eagle Scout service project.  The shelter will have some adoptable pets at the show, which also features a “pause and pose” (free kisses) with some of the pets.  A dog training demonstration will take place at 11:30, and local law enforcement will have a K-9 demonstration.  In addition to crafts and various vendors, there will also be a Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle.  Concessions will be for sale along with home-baked goods.  As part of his service project, Wesley is also asking for donations of food and supplies for the animals at the shelter.  Anyone who would like to reserve a table is asked to register by calling Dana Wedgewood at 304-639-7760 before February 8.  The cost per table is $10.  So come out and visit with some adorable pets, browse the craft and vendor tables, and support the Hancock County Animal Shelter.
