Charlotte A. Wehner, 96, of Chester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Charlotte was born to the late Lester and Edith Hassley Wehner in Chester on April 29, 1926.Charlotte was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1943. She retired in management from AT&T formerly known as Ohio Bell, where she started out working as an operator.She was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a longtime parishioner of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Lakewood, OH., where she was a founding member of the funeral choir. She was very active in the Church and was a member of the Christ Child Society and volunteered for Terminal Tower. Also, she was very generous with her treasures for the renovation of the Church Steeple at the parish in which she was raised, loved, and continued to worship after returning to Chester, Sacred Heart Catholic Church.She will be deeply missed by her sister, Joanne Six, and her husband Norm of Chester, and by several nieces and nephews.Father Bill Methany and Father John Neiman will preside for Catholic Funeral Liturgy at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM. The family will be present at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM when friends are welcome to visit. Her burial will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester.
