Hancock County school officials are confident that the water the students are drinking is safe.  Concern was expressed at last night’s Board of Education meeting after the train  derailment in East Palestine recently..  Superintendent Dawn Petrovich pointed out that each school gets their water from a different Public Service District and that all Public Service Districts test the water regularly and report downstate.

Transportation director Chris Enoch explained that he had gone to a bus auction in Ohio County and  picked up three buses for $30.  The buses will be used for substitute buses and are newer than the buses currently on hand in the County.

Board members requested and were provided with a list of current IT work orders not completed..
