ENICH APPOINTED HANCOCK SUPERINTENDENT

The Director of the JDRIV Career Center, Dan Enich, was named Hancock County Superintendentt beginning July 1. 2023 at Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting.  Enich who brings four decades of service to the Hancock County School system to the position will continue to serve in his current position until June 30. The Board rejected extending the contract of current Superintendent Dawn Petrovich who will serve out her contract until June 30.

The Board was unanimous in its decision to give Enich a four-year contract. His salary is set at $126,000.00 his first year and will progress to $136,000.00 his fourth year.

   Enich’s thanked the Board for their faith in him and providing him with this opportunity.

“My goal is to set a positive tone and direction for Hancock County schools,” said Enich  “I feel that the batoh is being passed to me from some great superintendents over the years

“The Hancock county school system has great students, teachers, administrators, support staff and parents.  They have great ideas and want to be heard.   I want to hear them,” he said
