FRANK CRAIN NAMED OAK GLEN PRINCIPAL

As school year nears, the Hancock County Board of Education met for a special meeting to get all adminsitrative, teaching and service personnel positions in place. Oak Glen Assistant Principal Frank Crain was named Oak Glen principal replacing Dave Smith who was recently named Assistant Superintendent.

Other positions filled include Chris Gill, Social Studies teacher at Weir High; Teresa Bendel, Grade 1 teacher at Allison Elementary; and Ashley Hissom, multi categorical/autism, New Manchester Elementary’.

Transfers approved include Nicodemas Karas from substitute teacher, countywide, to teacher, Grade 5, Weir Middle; Janet Arehart from Multi-categorical Autism, Oak Glen High, to Math teacher, Oak Glen High; Melissa Reed, substitute teacher, countywide, to Multi-categorical Autism, Oak Glen Middle.

Resignation was accepted from Kathy Dray, substitute nurse,

Coaching assignment was approved for Katelyn Garland, assistant Cheerleading, Weir Middle;

Extra-Currucular assignments approved were: Oak Glen High: Adam Howell, Senior Class sponsor; Trisha Enochs, NHS sponsor; Oak Glen Middle; Katie Padden, Student Council; Weir High, Candace Dotson, FBLA sponsor.

Resignations were accepted from Glen Barlow, substitute bus driver, and Diane Rocchio, substitute secretary;

Mike Ludovicki was approved as a substitute bus driver;

Approval was given to Joslyn Risk, bus operator, and Allyson Martin, LPN/Autism Mentor, itinerant position based at New Manchester Elementary;

Transfers were approved for Denise Haynes to Sec, III, Rockefeller Career Center; and Diane Dipasquale to Cook III, Weirton Elementary.
