The city of New Cumberland will hold its annual Christmas Parade on Saturday,
December 9, 2023, at 5:00 pm. Entrants will line up in Fuccy’s lot on Second Avenue before
they proceed along Ridge Avenue, down Station Hill, and end up downtown at the fire hall. This
year’s grand marshals are Bill and Barb Ross. The theme for this year’s parade is “I’ll Be Home
for Christmas” and will be a tribute to all those serving in the military. After the parade, the
public is invited to stroll along River Avenue to see the decorated trees and enjoy free cookies
and hot chocolate. The Oak Glen Band and the Oak Glen Chorus will be sharing some holiday
music at the overlook on River Avenue, and children can visit with Santa Claus inside the old
city building. There will also be a free winter hat and glove giveaway. Everyone is invited to
join in the festivities. Shown in the photo are the special chairs reserved for Mr. and Mrs. Claus
next to the red, white, and blue tree decorated in honor of those in the armed services.
