NEW BUSINESS COMING TO FORMER COUNTRY CORNER BUILDING

Good news for the small community of New Manchester.  The cornerstone store at the entrance to the small community previously known as “Country Corners” has been purchased  by Luis and Dorian Vasquez.     Luis and Dorian closed on their loan to purchase the building on Jan 29, 2024 and now are looking forward to maximizing the potential of the country-themed structure that holds many possibilities. Owner   Luis Vasquez came to the Beaver area to work as a supervisor in the Shell Cracker plant in 2020.  His family came from Texas to join him and they purchased  a home here on Smith Road.  The couple has two sons, Luis and Sebastian who attend New Manchester Elementary and Oak Glen.

Luis who also owns apartments in the northern end of Chester, said he fell in love with the hills and the trees of the area, but mostly the people.

Louis’s plans for the building in the front of the property which previously housed limited video lottery machines   is to convert the building into three apartments.  The main Country Corner facility presents many possibilities.  Luis would like to see a bakery and coffee shop where customers could also purchase sandwiches.   A drive-through window already exists on that side of the building,   Although no determination has been made for the other space Luis said his wife’s dream has always been to open a daycare center.  His plans for the basement of the structure are to locate  a machine shop there.

Luis said he hopes to have renovation of the exterior underway in May,
