HANCOCK COUNTY COMMISSION MEET

The Hancock County Commission met Thursday and accepted the resignation of Joe Paolo, one of two representatives appointed by the Commission to the Business Development Corporation.   Paolo is a long-time representative serving on the business development group authorized by the Commission to engage in the economic growth of the area.   In addition to designating the BDC as the agency charged with bringing new business to the area and fostering new business, the BDC is able to accept grants as a non-profit agency.   Robert Reed of Chester serves as the Commission’s other appointee.  The Commission not only designates the BDC as the lead agency, but contributes $30,000.00 per annum to the BDC’s operating budget.

In other business, the Commission:

**Accepted the resignation of Rainey Emerick from the Hancock County Parks & Recreation Board;

**Removed Cody Dunson from the Hancock County Parks & Recreation Board due to inactivity;

**Appointed Brittany Holloway to the Hancock County Parks & Recreation Board;

**Advertise for an open position on the Hancock County Parks & Recreation Board;

**Approved and office space/lease agreement between the Hancock County Senior Citizen Board and Harvest Moon Insurance;

**Reopened the Estate of Diana Durst;

**Approved the number of appointments for the Primary Election; **Approved the  change of status for  Traci Hinzman from full-time to part-time 911 dispatcher
