CHESTER GARDEN CLUB

CHESTER – The Chester Garden Club held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 28th, at EJ’s Family Restaurant in Chester. Vice President Jeanne Roberts led the group in The Pledge of Allegiance and The Garden Club Prayer and conducted the meeting. Donna Stevens read “Five Good Things” and gave the blessing before the meal. The minutes of the November 8th meeting were shared with members. Mary Ann Wright gave the treasurer’s report. 

     Paige Rayle volunteered to take over updating the Garden Club handbook.

     Sales of the club’s fundraiser jigsaw puzzle “Almost Heaven, Log Cabin” will continue with the puzzles available at both Davis Brothers Pharmacy and Lynn Murray Memorial Library in Chester.

     Members have removed the Christmas decorations from the planters along Carolina Avenue in preparation for spring flower planting.

     Roberts conducted election of officers for 2024 – 2025. Roberts was chosen as president and Susie Wilson as vice president. Wright will continue as treasurer and Rayle as secretary.

     The next meeting will be held at EJ’s on Wednesday, March 27th, at 1:00 PM. Anyone who would like to become a member is invited to attend the next meting.
