OBITUARY: MARIE GRAHAM

            • Marie T. Graham of Chester, West Virginia died Monday, March 11, 2024, in Chester. She was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Helen (Ryniewicz) Youst, born December 6, 1923, in Midland, Pennsylvania.Marie was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, class of 1943, and furthered her education at Ohio Valley Business College. Marie served in the SPARS, an all-women’s branch of the US Coast Guard during World War II, from 1944-1946. After her marriage to Charles Graham, she moved to Chester where she remained until her death. Marie was a parishioner at the Sacred Heart Church, member of the Ladies Guild, Chester American Legion, Old Guard and Alumni Association of East Liverpool High School, and the Military Women’s Memorial.Marie took great pride in her family, military service, and her beautiful yard that she tended into her 90’s. She loved “sitting and visiting” with family, friends, neighbors, and strangers that would soon become dear friends.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Dolly Smith, and Pearl Capraruolo; brothers: Frank Youst Jr., and George Youst; son-in-law, Greg Bunn; grandson, Brandon LeMasters.She is survived by daughters, Connie Maple and her husband, Mark of Chester and Hollie Bunn of Calcutta, Ohio; grandchildren: Amanda Maple, Ph.D. (Robert Watson), Marcy Bardenwerper (Will), Travis LeMasters (Melissa), Austin and Aubriona Bunn and four great-grandchildren.Family will be present at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M., when family and friends will be received. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M. Father Bill Matheny will preside for Catholic Funeral Liturgy on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be at Locust Hill Cemetery where the Chester Honor Guard will accord full military honors. Please join the family directly afterward at the Sacred Heart Center, Chester.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Marie’s name to the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild in care of Sacred Heart Church, 418 Fourth St. Chester, WV. 26034.
