CEOS OFFER SCHOLARSHIP, HOME SCHOOLED STUDENTS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY

The Newview chapter of the WVU Community Educational Outreach Service is happy to once again offer a $500 scholarship to a Hancock County senior. Application requires a GPA of 2.5 or higher and a written essay. The essay may be of any length, provided it is at least five hundred words, and must be on the topic “How Volunteering Changed My Life.” It is open to all Hancock County seniors, including those who have been home-schooled, who are planning to continue their education.

The scholarship will be in the form of a cash award to be used at the recipient’s discretion to defray the costs of continuing their education, whether at a traditional two or four year college, or a trade school.

Applications can be obtained by calling the WVU Hancock County Extension Office in New Cumberland at (304) 564-3805. They must be completed and returned to the office no later than April 30, 2024.
