Get out your social calendar and mark the great entertainment available for free in our area. Heading for the beach is great, but take some time to enjoy the Ohio River and the company of family and friends this summer. This week we feature the concert and event schedule for Laurel Hollow Park in Newell, the Davis Brother Pavillion in Chester and the Weirton Event Centre. For those who have never participated or watched the 4th of July Parade in New Manchester, we have information on that. It seriously may be the only parade that meets itself as kids on bikes, horses and a the Grand Marshall travel down High Street and up Main Street.

Chester will once again host a 4th of July celebration that begins in the morning and ends with a fantastic Fireworks Display. We end the summer and head into Fall with New Cumberland Riverfest, always a time for folks to celebrate their hometown and see their friends who return for the fest.
