The Hancock County Commission is seeking applicants for the County Administrator position. The County Administrator is responsible for the overall administration and management of county operations. This role involves overseeing various county departments, ensuring compliance with county policies, and serving as the primary point of contact for county operations. The County Administrator also works collaboratively with county employees, elected officials, vendors, and others to implement the county’s programs and directives effectively. Applicants should have knowledge of the theory, principles, techniques, and practice of public administration, knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and codes pertaining to county operations, proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet browser programs, and the ability to think strategically and analyze situations to understand the impact decisions will have on the county.
