Lucy Ellen (Sweat) Zoellers of East Liverpool passed at the Orchards of East Liverpool on Friday, September 13, 2024.

Lucy was born in Steubenville Ohio on April 28, 1953, to the late Melvin J. and Violet M. Wright Sweat. She was 71 years old. Although saddened by her loss, her family finds solace in the fact that her suffering  is over.

Lucy was a talented and creative soul. Locally, she was well known as a managing stylist and colorist. Her aesthetic flair could be found in the things she loved, crocheting, decorating for the holidays, and coloring. Lucy was a longtime member of the East Liverpool Moose Lodge #126 where she was a great supporter of their many charitable efforts.

Her family includes her siblings, George (Linda) Sweat of North Lima Ohio, Mary (Richard) Greer of Dade City Florida, Dan Sweat of East Liverpool, and Sally Rhodes of Hereford Arizona.

Along with her parents, her husband, John Zoellers preceded her in death.

It has been suggested that contributions be made instead of flowers in Lucy’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital @ stjude.org.

Lucy’s family is planning a memorial celebration for a later date. She is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
