The Hancock County and Brooke County Executive Committees and Hancock County and Brooke County Democratic Women are hosting a “Patriotic Night At The Races,” Wear your Red, White and Blue and come to the races on October 5th, 2024 atT. Kosciusko Hall, 1801 Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, WV. The doors will open at 5:00 P.M. and the races will start at 6:00 P.M. Candidates at the betting table will be as follows: Dezso Polgar, Candidate for Sheriff of Hancock County; Olivia Dwyer, Candidate for District 2 House of Delegates; Dean Harris, Candidate for Mayor of the City of Weirton; David Cantrell. Candidate for District 3 House of Delegates and Kyle Wilson, Candidate for Weirton City Council, Ward 4.
Tickets are Twenty Dollars ($20.00) each which includes one horse, a light buffet, dessert, and beverages, including coffee and tea. If you want additional horses, it will be Ten Dollars ($10.00) a horse. Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting any member of the Hancock County or Brooke County Democratic Clubs or at the door the day of the event.
There will be a 50/50 Raffle, as well as, a Football Basket Raffle provided by Brooke County Democratic Clubs.
