HARTLEY IS OCT. LION SCHOLAR

Logan John Hartley, 17, son of Rachael and Lester John Hartley Jr. of New Cumberland, WV, has been chosen as the Oak Glen High School Lions Club Scholar of the Month for October 2024.

            During his time at Oak Glen High School, Logan participated in Key Club during his freshman year, Track and Field during his freshman and sophomore years, and ran Cross Country all four years. He also is a part of National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, the Science Club, and Culture Club.

Since his sophomore year, he has been a part of Oak Glen’s Little Theatre, appearing in shows such as “Clue,” “The Little Mermaid,” “The Addams Family,” and “Charlotte’s Web.” In December, he will be starring in “The Man who Came to Dinner,” as Sheridan Whiteside.

During a week in June this summer Logan was chosen by the Chester American Legion Post 121 and attended the 85th session of American Legion Mountaineer Boys State.

After High School, Logan plans to study Civil Engineering. He is currently undecided as to which college he will be attending.
