OBITUARY: MARILYN MILLER

Marilyn R. Miller, of New Cumberland, a gentle and kind soul who radiated warmth and love, passed away peacefully at her home on October 29, 2024, at the age of 70. Marilyn had a heart that embraced everyone she met, and her bright spirit left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Born in East Liverpool on March 15, 1954, Marilyn was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence Lester and Evelyn Allen Six. She grew up on Murray Road in New Cumberland as part of the large and loving Six family. A 1972 graduate of Oak Glen High School, Marilyn’s life was dedicated to her family, her faith, and her community. She was a cherished member of the Virginia Avenue Church of Christ in Chester, where she found a second family in her church community.

Marilyn’s greatest joy was her family. She devoted herself to raising her three daughters, Melanie Trecki of Imperial, PA; Robyn Norwood; and Renee Miller of Fort Mill, SC.  Her love extended even further to her six treasured grandchildren: Mark, Raegan, Kyleigh, Chelsea, Savanah, and Harlie.  She had one great-grandchild, Hailey.  Marilyn also shared a close bond with her siblings, Marvin (Sue) Six, Sharon (Steve) Craig of New Cumberland, and Alan (Candie) Six of Chester along with her nieces and nephews.

Marilyn’s life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and unconditional love. She didn’t know a stranger and made everyone she met feel like family. Her presence was a light that brightened every room and a comfort to all who knew her.

A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at a later date, with arrangements entrusted to the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
