The Hancock County Board of Education met Tuesday, Jan. 21 for its regularly scheduled meeting. The Board approved the resignations of both Oak Glen High and Weir High’ s Head Football Coaches. Frank Sisinnii resigned as Weir High’s Head Football Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coach. Doug Taylor resigned as Oak Glen High’s Head Football as did OGHS Assistant Football Coaches, Ray Pernell and Josh Pernell. Lindsey Spilecki resigned as Head Cross Country Coach for Oak Glen High.
Other personnel action included the following:
**Unpaid leave of absence approved for the 24-25 school year for Kylee Straight;
**Accepted the resignation of Frank Sisinni -as PE Teacher at Weir High;
**Approved Rebecca Provenzano, Jordan Conner, Autumn Duckworth and Glen Prantil as Countywide Substitute Teachers;
**Approved Alissa Hannah for teaching AP Computer Science in lieu of planning period at Weir High;
**Transferred Josh Weltner from Head Boys’ Track Coach at Oak Glen High to Assistant Boys’ Track Coach;
**Approved Ethan Arner as Assistant Boys’ Basketball at Oak Glen Middle and Diane Wells as Assistant Girls’ Track coach at Oak Glen High;
**Approved Alexandra Bruno as Academic Game Assistant at Weir High and Brian Pietro as Ski Club Sponsor at Weir High;
**Approved the resignation of Terrie Eddy as Custodian II, Oak Glen Middle School;
**Approved the following transfers: Tom Paisley from Custodian II, New Manchester Elementary to Custodian III, Allison Elementary; Austin Haught from Custodian II, Weir High, to Custodian II, Oak Glen Middle School; Stephanie Richards from Cook II, Weirton Elementary to Cook II, Allison Elementary; Bethany Henderson, Bus Operator #136 to Bus Operator Bus Operator,Bus Operator #183; and John Airhart from Bus Operator #207 to Bus Operator #139.
**Paula Cline was approved as a LPN/Supervisory Aide, Oak Glen Middle School;
**An extended leave of absence was approved for Karli Sutton, Supervisory Aide/ECCAT, Weirton Elementary;
**Tammie Shaw was approved for an unpaid leave of absence. Shaw is custodian at OGHS;
**Misti Still was approved for one docday for medical reasons;
**Substitute classified personnel approved include Michael Zias and Timothy Derby;
**.The resignation of Bevery Merico, countywide substitute aide was accepted;
**Administrative release was approved for Kiley N. McCoy as countywide substitute LPN/Aide;
