OBITUARY: SANDI EMLER

Sandra L. “Sandy” Emler, 76, of New Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Weirton Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Sandy was born in Monaca, Pennsylvania, on October 17, 1948, to the late Clyde and Mildred Patton.

Sandy served as a Nurse’s Aide for AVS in Racoon Township and Beaver Valley Assisted Living. She also worked at Melody Lanes Skating Rink in Hookstown, the Wellsville Dairy Queen, and Baby’ s-R-Us while living in Virginia. Most recently, Sandy found great joy in caring for children with her daughter-in-law, Brandi Emler, who provides childcare for area children. She loved to crochet and graduated from Monaca High School.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Don Emler, brothers Floyd, Roger, and Harold Patton, sister Shirley Belich, and nephew Roger Patton Jr preceded her in death.

Surviving is her daughter, Kari Daniels of Wellsville; son, Dustin (Brandi) Emler, with whom she resided in New Cumberland; grandchildren, Katlynn and Austin Jackson, Brooklyn Barnhart, and Bryce Emler; great-grandson, Maverikk Rosenbaum; sister, Nancy (Jack) Blair; sisters-in-law, Carol Emler, Sandy Hildabrand, and Marjorie Zutowski; cousins, Ken and Diane Martin; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family will celebrate Sandy’s life with a memorial visitation at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Friday, February 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
