In other business, the Commission:

**Made a request for sponsorship from the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley a matter of record;

**Approved $8,000.00 for the Hancock County Solid Waste Authority for a roll-off rental, transportation and disposal to maintain the ongoing collection of household junk at the Gas Valley Road Facility;

**Approved advertising for an Assistant Maintenance Technician;

**Agreed to provide a letter of support for the Miracle League of the Northern Ohio Valley. The League proposes a playing field and sports facility near St. Joseph’s School for those with disabilities;

**’Approved advertising for seasonal part-time maintenance technician;

**Accepted an approved the contract for Global Science & Technology, Inc.;

**Took no action on Sheriff Scott Gitting’s request to approve the purchase of four Sheriff’s Vehicles and related technology through a Dept. of Justice Grant’

**Accepted the resignation of Jeff Luck from his position as full-time dispatcher;

**Approved applying fr the 2023 EMPG Grant. If, received grant funds will be used as reimbursement for funds spent on the Hancock Office of Emergency Services;

**Approved the payment of general county bills in the amount of $89,791.87 and purchasing card bill in the amount of $18,992.38
