OBITUARY: JAMES SNIDER

James Snider 74, of New Cumberland, passed away April 3, 2025. He was born October 4, 1951, in Steubenville, the son of the late Hugh and Garnet (Lemasters) Snider. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Martin) Snider.

James retired from Weirton Steel and also retired from Hancock County Schools where he worked as a bus driver. He belonged to the Weirton Steel 25 year club and the New Cumberland Church of Christ.

He is survived by two sons, Evan and Nathan Snider both of New Cumberland and a sister Linda Stansberry of Ohio and a special aunt, Betty Lemasters.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 5 pm to 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am at The New Cumberland Church of Christ in New Cumberland. Interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.
