The Alpha Tau chapter (WV) of Alpha Delta Kappa, International Honorary Organization for Women Educators held its April meeting the Swaney Memorial Library. Fran Jones, President, called the meeting to order.
Chaplain Kathy Griffith gave a reading from Walking in Grace. Immediate Past President Amy Hannahs took roll and distributed copies of the March minutes for approval. Treasurer Velda Icard presented the financial report. Committee reports were also given. Applications for the groups’ scholarship were presented by chairman Hannahs. They were reviewed and the recipients will be invited to the May meeting to receive their award.
Hannahs was presented her biennium scrapbook by Historian Michelle Bernardi. Susan Gracie, Fraternity Education Chairman, did a crossword puzzle activity with the group.
Monies were collected from fundraisers for the chapters’ scholarship. The group discussed ideas for the membership campaign.
Hostesses for the meeting were Jones and Griffith. The May meeting will be a picnic and recognition of the scholarship recipients.
