TOP OF WV Announces Exciting New Summer Events “Second Saturdays”

WEIRTON, WV – For the past 12 years, the Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau has brought the community together with its annual concert series at the Weirton Event Center. In 2025, the concerts are returning in a new format: “Second Saturdays”.

With hopes of creating a bigger and better experience for locals and visitors alike, these all-day celebrations will include a farmers and artisan market, yoga, food trucks, lawn games, contests, and of course, live music. Held on the second Saturday of June, July, August, and September, each event will offer a different theme that’s free and fun for the whole family to attend.

“This change allows us to expand the event beyond just live music, making it a full-day festival that includes many additional activities we’ve been asked to host for years,” said Rachel Keeney, Executive Director of the Top of WV. “By shifting to a Saturday format, we hope to welcome more attendees, attract visitors from outside the area, and continue supporting local artists, businesses, and vendors.”

The decision to restructure the events comes in response to evolving community needs, as well as the desire to make the experience more accessible and sustainable. While some may miss the weekly concerts, this new format will provide more variety, more engagement, and a bigger audience for local businesses and performers.

The detailed schedule for each Second Saturday will be shared leading up to each event, but the overall format will include a farmers and artisan market from 10 a.m. -2 p.m., followed by live music and food trucks from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. The music lineup for this year’s events is as follows:
