Weirton’s Second Saturday Series Closes with a Rockin’ Finale Sept. 13

WEIRTON, WV – The Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau invites the community to wrap up the summer with Second Saturday: Rock the Block on Saturday, September 13th at the Weirton Event Center. As the final event in the 2025 Second Saturday series, this celebration will feature an exciting lineup of music, vendros, contests, crafts, food, and community fun.

The day starts with an outdoor yoga session and sound bath at noon open to all skill levels. Registration is $15 at the event or $10 in advance at www.tinyurl.com/wss-yoga3. The Farmers and Artisan Market will be set up from noon until 4 p.m., with fresh produce, colorful mums, desserts, handmade crafts, health and wellness products, homemade dog treats, and more. Kids can also enjoy a special pumpkin painting craft with Miss Connie to help kick off the fall season.

The Maine Lobster Truck, Tate’s Teas, and The Little Egypt Shop will be selling food, drinks, and desserts from 1-7 p.m. alongside the Hancock and Brooke Young Professionals’ hot dog and beer tent.

Lawn games and a 50/50 will be available throughout the day, with a cornhole tournament starting at 4:15. The tournament entry fee is $20 per team, with registration open at the event until 4 p.m. Teams are encouraged to pre-register at www.tinyurl.com/wss-cornhole3.

Live music takes the stage at 2 p.m. and bands will be rocking downtown Weirton through the evening:

• 2 p.m. – Everett Metz

• 4 p.m. – Full Circle Band

• 6:30 p.m. – Bon Journey

The final 2025 Second Saturday will also host a Car Cruze beginning at 5 p.m. and an Air Guitar Battle at 6 p.m., with prizes for participants in both activities.

“Second Saturday is a great way to celebrate music and local vendors, and it brings the community together,” said Rachel Keeney, Executive Director of the Top of WV CVB. “We want everyone to come out for our last event of the summer and have some fun.”

Second Saturday is free to attend and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the full day of entertainment.
