Fields, Crow drop out of Board of Education race

Two incumbent Board of Education candidates have decided not to seek re-election. Three incumbent Board members had filed: Ed Fields, Jack Crow and James Horstman. Fields, who served as vice-president of the Board, was a long-time Board member serving in two separate terms years apart. Crow was appointed to the position upon the resignation of Gerard Spencer. In order to keep that position, he would have to be elected in the upcoming primary election.

Jim Horstman remains the only incumbent on the ballot.
