The Hancock County Board of Education recognized those students who had excelled in their field of study at Monday’s meeting. Winners of the State Skills USA Winners from JDRIV were: GOLD: Aubrey Stoica – CPR/First Aid; Julianna Campbell – Nurse Assistant; Natalia Vella – Photography Showcase’ Dawson Evans – Action Skillls; SILVER: Alexis Rhodes – Health Occupations Portfolio; Jack Crago – Welding Showcase; Gage Groetzinger – Carpentry Showcase; BRONZE: Megan Gaston – Job Skills Demonstration; Daniel Robinson – Advertising Design; Maria Stefansky, Riley Straight and Kylie Dunmeyer – Chapter Display.
Also recognized were the Academic Games National Qualifiers from Weir High School: Andrew Manteau – 3rd Place LinguiSHTIK; Hunter Antol – 6th Place Current Events; and Max Wood – 9th Place Theme;
