Hancock County School Service Personnel of the Year Selected

The Hancock County Board of Education recognized those dedicated school service personnel who keep the schools operable on many varied levels.

Jeff Lamp, a plumber in the Maintenance Dept. was selected from a field of eight nominees by 350 of his fellow workers. Superintendent Dan Enich praised Lamp for his outstanding work, especially during the City of Weirton water crisis. Enich said during the time he and maintenance supervisor Casey Arnott would meet with Lamp at 5:15 a.m. every day to assess the buildings impacted by the lack of water or low water pressure.

Enich said Lamp, “embodies the spirit of service.”
