The Hancock County Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Rockefeller Career Center. The agenda includes the appointment of Oak Glen Principal Dave Smith as Assistant Superintendent. The appointment was on the agenda at the last meeting and tabled until this meeting.
Also on the agenda is naming the Principal at Weir High to replace Kristen Bissett who was named Director of the Rockefeller Career Center. Smith’s appointment as Assistant Superintendent will create a vacancy as Principal of Oak Glen High School. Smith was the first Oak Glen graduate to serve as Principal of his Alma Mater.
