Samuel Pruden, 79, of Newell, passed away January 17, 2021.
Born in Chester, WV on September 10, 1941, he was the son of the late Charles and Virginia (Ripley) Pruden.
Samuel retired after working 43 years at Homer Laughlin China Company, last working as a Kiln Placer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 681, holding a 32 -degree, and a member of the Scottish Rite and Al-Koran of Cleveland .He was an avid Steeler fan, he loved fishing, and gardening.
Samuel’s joy and passion in life was his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a brother, Sonny Pruden and a sister, Janet; and a stepdad, John Vargovick.
Surviving are his loving wife Carolyn (Wilson) Pruden of Newell; two daughters, Tammy (Chris) Hanlon of Florida and Carry (Tye) Seitz of Oho; two sons, Curtis (Lynn) Hunt of Newell and Sam (Michelle) Pruden of East Liverpool; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Ed (Jayne) Pruden of East Liverpool; and good friends, Ernie Cross and John Yano.
Memorial donations may be made in Samuel’s name to Shriners Hospital.
