Your Imagination Station

Hello Friends, and welcome to Your Imagination Station. We’re coming to you, for the first time, from Lynn Murray Memorial Library in Chester, WV. We’re so happy you’ve stopped by to see what all we have to offer.
Let’s start with the programs we have going on right now. Let’s start with our virtual Story Time, every Friday at 1pm, through May 28. You will find us in our Facebook Group, Lynn Murray Memorial Library. There, our “Littles” will hear a story, play games, sing, do a craft, learn colors, letters, and numbers, and occasionally have a visitor stop by. They will also continue learning American Sign Language, which was something we started in August 2020. We also have coloring and work sheets for the kiddos that go along with each week’s story, for you to stop by and pick up, or print at home.
A new program to our library, is the addition of LARGE PRINT BOOKS, provided to us by the WV Library Commission. These books will be rotated out every couple of months so we always have current ones. They will be popular authors as well as new titles. Come on in and see which one(s) you’d like to read.
We also have a new section in the library. It’s for our Amish book collection. It has your favorite Amish authors, and new books are being added to it weekly.
Did you know that we have paintings for sale by a local artist? How many of you know Nancy Wright? She does amazing work and some of it is displayed right here at the library. You really need to come in and see just how beautiful they are. Who knows, maybe one of them will find their way home to your wall.
Something else that’s new and our patrons are really liking, is our section for featured books of the month. For the month of March, we had several books on display in honor of Women’s History Month. Stop in and see what we have lined up for April.
Are you one who likes to work puzzles? Well, then you definitely need to come and see the ones we have available. You will find them on top of the 3 bookshelves to the left when you walk in. These 300+ piece puzzles are available to PURCHASE and are sure to promise hours of fun. They’re all family friendly and on occasion, we even have some for children to do as well. So come on in and take one home today! Feel free to initial the back of the box, if you wish to show your accomplishment.
Have puzzles you’ve already completed? Or maybe books you’ve already read? We are now accepting donations to add to our collection. Bring them in and give to either Connie or Shauna at the Front Desk.
Beginning April 10, we will be open 10-2 every week, unless otherwise posted. Regular business hours are Monday – Thursday 10-6 and Friday 10-5. We are very much looking forward to seeing you soon.
