Patricia E. “Patty” Bailey, 64 of East Liverpool, passed peacefully at her home while in the loving care of her family on Sunday, April 11, 2021, following a lengthy illness.
A daughter of the late Harvey and Lacy Cain, Patty was born in East Liverpool on April 12, 1956.
A loving and compassionate caregiver, Patty worked as a registered nurse for Loving Care Home Health for several years. After only one year as registered nurse, she was nominated and selected as the Ohio Home Health Nurse of the year. Patty graduated from
the East Liverpool branch of Kent State University School of Nursing where she has the dubious distinction of being a member of the Wall of Fame. A true disciple of God’s word, Patty served the Lord in every way possible. She was a member of the Lisbon Baptist Temple from the church’s humble beginnings, where she helped teach Sunday school, helped with the food bank distribution, and at one time sang in the church choir.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry, and Donald Cain.
Her loving family includes her children, Bob (Ginny) Bailey of New Cumberland, and Amanda (Todd) Bednarek of East Liverpool; her sister, Sheila Reynolds of Hundred, West Virginia, her brother, Rick Cain of Greensboro, NC., and her grandchildren who she was so proud of, Chelsye, and Ashlynn, Bryson Bednarek and Tyler Bailey.
