CHESTER MUNICIPAL ELECTION JUNE 14

Chester, WV – The City of Chester would like to remind all Chester residents that Chester will be holding
its city election on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. All voting will
take place at Chester City Hall.
Voters will be electing a Mayor, City Clerk, Council, and proposed Charter change. Candidates for the
position are as follows:
Mayor – Ed Wedgewood
City Clerk – Courtney Sanlo
Council – Ward I – Incumbent Tom Paisley and Nathan Wright
Council – Ward II – Incumbent John “Woody” Woodruff
Council – Ward III – Michael Dotson, Sr.
Council – Ward IV – Incumbent Jason Thorn
Council – Ward V – Steve Shuman
Proposition to change City Charter
Early voting is now open and will end on June 11, 2022. Hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. City Hall will be open on Saturday, June 4, 2022 and Saturday June 11, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. for early voting.
June 8, 2022 is the deadline to submit absentee ballot applications. June 13, 2022 is the last day to
receive a hand-delivered absentee ballot.
Remember to get out and vote on June 14, 2022.
