Born, November 20, 1944, in Providence, RI., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth “Bud” and Ellen McGraw Burns.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond V. Swearingen, and her brother, Kenneth Burns Jr.
Sandy was a graduate of Chester High School. She formerly was employed as a cashier at Sparkle Market and MD Billing both in Chester.
She will be deeply missed by her children, John Bickerstaff and his wife, Johnna, Melissa Kell and her husband, Eric, Brandy Waide and her husband, Chris, Tiffany Hissam and her husband, Brian, and Amanda Swearingen; grandchildren, Dylan (Casey), Sydney (Steven), Ashleigh (Jarrod), Nathan (Hillery), Bailey, Tracer, Jaedyn, Jered, and Colt. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren, Riley, Landon, Aaliyah, TJ, Reese, and Tatum.
Friends may visit with her family, Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel. A private service will be held for the family. Interment will be at Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester.
