William “Bill” Walker, 72, of Newell, passed away February 24, 2023.Born June 25 1950 in Sewickley, Pa, he was the son of the late George and Frances (Stone) Walker.He served in the US Air Force. He retired from Beaver Power Station. and formerly for Homer Laughlin Security. Bill was a member of the National Hot Rod Association. He was an avid collector of Railroad Memorabilia. Bill was an enthusiast and enjoyed riding steam trains and collector of Veteran Memorabilia.He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Walker.Surviving are his loving wife, Susan (Cunningham) Walker of Newell; one brother, Ken (Carolyn) Walker of Canton; three sisters, Nancy Zynosky of Hookstown, Barb Gray (Keith Logston) of Newell and Carol (Tom) Sheffler of Monaca; several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Today, Mon, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm., at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV, where funeral service will be at 11am on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn of Newell where military services will be held by Chester V F W and American Legion Honor Guard.
