CHESTER’S 4TH OF JULY PARADE CELEBRATES UNSUNG HEROES

Daylong festivities in Chester will feature a theme of “Unsung Heroes” with Five Grand Marshalls honored for all they do for their hometown. Mike Dotson, Susan Hineman, John Hissam, Donnie Murray and Ed Wedgewood, will share the honors as the community thanks them for the countless hours they have spent on numerous projects that have benefited Chester and its residents The parade lineup begins at 3 at 3rd and Virginia and kicks off at 4 p.m.

Schedule
9 a.m. – 5K and Walk Race (registration in front of E J’s at 8 a.m. Participation cost $5)

9 a,m, – Vendors open 25 craft vendors have signed wit Seven Food Trucks on hanel

11 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Lions Car Show in City Park

11 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Large blowups for children to enjoy. For $5 wristband kids can play all day

Noon – Duck Race between 3 and 4 th Street Ducks are $5/each and can be purchased beginning at 9 a.m.

4 p.m. – Parade

Music begins after parade with Full Circle. at 8 p.m. Bon Journey plays until Fireworks at 10 p.m.
