Chester July 4th Festivities to Feature Varied Activities

The Chester 4th of July Committee has day-long activities to entertain every age in this year’s Hometown Celebration. From 9 a.m. til 10 p.m. and beyond the volunteers have worked hard to present an Independence Day you won’t forget. The schedule is as follows:

9 a.m. – 5K Race, sponsored by Hancock Savings Bank

10 a.m. til noon – Chalk Art, $5/square, VFW Parking Lot, sponsored by Allison Elementary PTA

10 a.m. til 3 p.m. – Car Show – sponsored by the Chester Lions Club

9 a.m. til noon – Duck Race – Third and Louisiana – Ducks are $5 a piece

noon til 4 p.m. – Inflatables in City Park – $5 per child for daylong access

4 p.m. – Parade – lineup at 3 p.m. on 3rd St. and Virginia Ave.

Dance – 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Shivaun Srera – Tribute to Linda Ronstadt

7 p.m. til 10 p.m. – Out of Eden -Eagle Tribute Group

10 p.m – Fireworks
