OBITUARY: JEFFREY A. SAYRE

Jeffrey A. Sayre, 79, of New Manchester passed peacefully at his residence on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Born September 7, 1945, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Ira C. and Eleanor Swaney Sayre.
Jeff graduated from Chester High School in 1963. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam and dedicated over twenty years to his work as a Maintenance Engineer at Marsh Bellofram.

Jeff proudly designed and built his family home where he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Rebecca “Beckie” Sayre, whom he married on April 19, 1969; his children, Tammie Blake and her husband, Joe of New Cumberland; his son, Jeff Sayre of New Manchester; his grandchildren, Hillary Sayre, Abigail (Brad) Elliott, Addison Sayre, and Connor Blake; his great-grandchildren, Madilynn and Emilia Elliott; his sisters-in-law, Doris Cameron and Peggy (Bill) Gualtiere; and his brother-in-law, Richard Priest.

Pastor Mark Blakeley will celebrate Jeff’s life at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Arner Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with his family on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at New Cumberland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wellsville First Christian Church, 831 Main St., Wellsville, OH. 43968.
